REGULAR SEASON FINALE
Andrew Kalka Takes GC3 Cleveland Golf League 2025 Season Championship
Jeff Cron And Brian Eck Capture 2nd and 3rd Place Positions 
League leader Andrew Kalka earned 10 points in match play as he held on to the top spot in the final week of regular season play for the 2025 GC3 Cleveland Golf League. Kalka earned a season record 100.5 points to capture the league crown in its inaugural year. Jeff Cron finished in the number 2 spot with a total 98 points, and Brain Eck took third place with 96.5 points earned.
Cron also earned a league-leading 8-1-1 match play record for the season. Adam Gilbert completed the season with a 7-2-1 record, with Eck and Kalka finishing at 7-3.

Gilbert, J Walsh, A Zenczak take final week honors; “Z” sets new course / league record
BRUNSWICK – The 2025 regular season concluded at Cossett Creek in Brunswick with Adam Gilbert (15), John Walsh (14), and Andrew Zenczak (14) earning top points for the week. Walsh shot a solid 43 and earned par on 3 of the final 4 holes to place him on the week’s leaderboard. Jeff Cron, Bernie Willoughby, and Mike Zenczak shot rounds of 44 recording solid scores on the season’s final regular week. Our Action Highlights: Andrew Zenczak turned in an impressive score of 39, marking a new course record for holes 1-9 at Cossett, as well as an overall league best single gross score. Z notched 3 pars during the round, and recorded birdie on both the #4 and #9 par fives.

Marfinetz and P Willoughby score 15 points; top 4 positions points apart
BRUNSWICK – With the 2025 regular season in the balance, Jeff Marfinetz (51) and Paul Willoughby (42) scored 15 points apiece to take top honors for the week, followed closely by Brian Eck at 14 points, The leaderboard is extremely tight as just 3.5 points separate the top 4 golfers (Andrew Kalka, Jeff Cron, Brian Eck, and Mike Zenczak). Our Action Highlights: P. Willoughby turned in his season low round 42, also establishing a new GC3 League course record for the back side of Cossett. Cron and Eck have moved up the standings in the past few weeks, and the regular season concludes next Monday. Good luck to all.

Storms roll in to suspend play at Royal Crest
With all golfers “teeing off”, play stopped hole #2 as lightning and heavy storms rolled in at Royal Crest. Play resumes August 4 at Cossett Creek.

Walsh scores top points, Eck and Willoughby face off, “Battle Of The Jeffs” 
COLUMBIA STATION – John Walsh (14), Jeff Cron (13), Adam Gilbert (13), and Andrew Zenczak (13) earned top points at Royal Crest as the GC3 inaugural season begins to wind down. The leaderboard tightened as just 13 points separate the top 5 golfers (Andrew Kalka, M. Zenczak, Cron, Bernie Willoughby, Brian Eck). Our Action Highlights: In key matchups, Eck and Willoughby faced off with Brian turning in a season-low 45 (2 Pars) to edge Bernie 11-8 in match points. In the “Battle Of The Jeffs“, Marfinetz took an early lead winning the first 2 holes with a par on #11 – 321-yard par 4. Cron rallied earning points on 5 of the last 6 holes taking the match 13-6 while tying the week’s low gross at 44.

GC3 Resumes Action; Cron, M Zenczak Win 15 Points
MEDINA – Jeff Cron and Mike Zenczak led action at Pleasant Valley taking 15 points each in their Monday night matches. Andrew Kalka and Bernie Willoughby rounded out the weekly rankings with 12 points apiece. Our Action Highlight: M Zenczak set a new course record for Pleasant Valley’s back nine with a round of 42 including 2 pars and a birdie on #15 – 397-yard Par 4. Regular season action continues next week at Royal Crest.

Play Suspended At Pleasant Valley With Heavy Rains
Suffering back to back lost weeks, play at Pleasant Valley Country Club was suspended halting the GC3 Cleveland Golf League from hitting the links. Weather permitting, play resumes July 14.

Untimely rain prevented league players from starting action at Cossett Creek. Play resumes July 7 at Pleasant Valley Country Club.

Kalka Shoots Season Low, Takes First; Cron, M Zenczak Record Lows, Walsh Birdies
BRUNSWICK – Andrew Kalka shot a season-best round of 50 on the backside of Cossett Creek to take 18 points and move into the leader’s spot for the GC3 Cleveland Golf League 2025 season. Jeff Cron (13), John Walsh (13), and Mike Zenczak (12) rounded out top point earners for the week. Our Action Highlight: Cron and M Zenczak tied at 43 to match a course record for Cossett 10-18. Walsh had the week’s highlight with a birdie on #10 – 300-yard Par 4 to start the round.

J Zenczak Records Low Round, Takes Lead; Eck And Kalka Have Strong Weeks
COLUMBIA STATION – John Zenczak recorded a new low gross score of 43 on the front nine at Royal Crest in the GC3 Cleveland Golf League 2025. He earned 14 points in Monday’s play. Brian Eck (12) and Mike Zenczak (11) rounded out the week’s leading point winners. Our Action Highlight: The leader board saw some movement with J Zenczak (46), Bernie Willoughby (44.5) and Andrew Kalka (39.5) now holding the top 3 positions in regular season action. Noteworthy – Eck (51) and Kalka (56) had season best rounds. Andrew Zenczak completed his first week of play with a round of 44 with 2 pars.
