J Zenczak Records Low Round, Takes Lead; Eck And Kalka Have Strong Weeks
COLUMBIA STATION – John Zenczak recorded a new low gross score of 43 on the front nine at Royal Crest in the GC3 Cleveland Golf League 2025. He earned 14 points in Monday’s play. Brian Eck (12) and Mike Zenczak (11) rounded out the week’s leading point winners. Our Action Highlight: The leader board saw some movement with J Zenczak (46), Bernie Willoughby (44.5) and Andrew Kalka (39.5) now holding the top 3 positions in regular season action. Noteworthy – Eck (51) and Kalka (56) had season best rounds. Andrew Zenczak completed his first week of play with a round of 44 with 2 pars.
Early Three-Way Race; J Zenczak Records PV Low Round
MEDINA – Adam Gilbert (39), Ryan Walsh (37) and Bernie Willoughby (35.5) have carved out an early three-way race in the GC3 Cleveland Golf League 2025 season. Ryan took home 11 points in Monday’s play to move into the number two spot. Jeff Cron (12) and Andrew Kalka (11.5) also picked up credible point totals. Our Action Highlight: John Zenczak turned in a 48 on the back side to establish a new league course record at Pleasant Valley. His score earned a league high 13 points for the week. Noteworthy was his birdie on hole #14 – 140-yard Par 3.
League Leaders Take Shape; B Willoughby Records Cossett Creek Low
BRUNSWICK – Bernie Willoughby (14), Brian Eck (13), Adam Gilbert (13) and Ryan Walsh (13) topped all golfers in week 2 of the GC3 Cleveland Golf League 2025 season. Willoughby also established a course record score of 45 with 3 pars on the front side of Cossett Creek. Our Action Highlight: Jeff Cron, Andrew Kalka, and Jeff Marfinetz all recorded par on Cossett’s #8 – 160-Yard Par 3. On the season, Gilbert maintains a lead overall with 31 season points followed by B Willoughby (28) and R Walsh (26).
GC3 League Kicks Off Season; Gilbert Takes Early Lead
BRUNSWICK – Adam Gilbert (18), John Walsh (16) and Bernie Willougbby (14) were the top three point earners in the first week of the GC3 2025 regular season at Cossett Creek. John Zenczak established a course record with a gross score of 43 and 4 pars. J. Walsh also earned a record achievement for Cossett with 5 pars on the course’s back side. Play returns to Cossett next Monday.
